Maison Martin Margiela for Converse

article-2418958-1BC75726000005DC-793_634x483The $200 Chuck Taylor All Star and Jack Purcell sneaker designed by Maison Martin Margiela is already in stores and creating quite a stir. The avante-garde aesthetic on the classic Converse sneaker has been designed to naturally shed their outer coat of white paint to display its hidden color. Margiela has a love of white, and unexpected surprises in their design so it’s no wonder they come up with this unique yet simple concept. Maison Martin Margiela explained it’s design in a press release stating “A sort of poetry, with the passage of time, the shoe asserts itself.”  With a selection of four color ways ( red, navy, black, vintage yellow) hidden under the white layer i’m looking forward to seeing these well thought out beauties on the streets this fall season.

Are you grabbing a pair?
