This years NYFW will will be quite a change, since designers have been moving out of Lincoln Center looking for new venues to host their long awaited shows. Big wigs such as DVF and Michael Kors are heading to Spring Studios in Tribeca while others are also looking for more exclusive locations.
Now the news of Alexander Wang leaving the tents came with a twist. His new location will be in ultra hip Brooklyn! According to WWD.com his reps have confirmed the move and it is buzzing through out the fashion industry.
Unlike other designers Wang decided to leave Manhattan all together deciding on setting up shop at the eco-friendly Duggal Greenhouse, which is located right next to the Brooklyn Navy Yard. It seems like the perfect location being that he is one of the hottest young designers now.
To add to the element of change it was released that he will be showing Feb 8th at 8:30pm end-of-day slot to avoid the travel traffic, and scheduling conflicts. (Talk bout smart PR!)
