Roots Picnic is What the Doctor Ordered

unnamed

I have been waiting for weeks for this day to come and I jumped out of my hotel bed like it was Christmas. Saturday was the Roots Picnic and I was ready to grab a stop by the main stage and soak it all in. As excited as I was, my inner foodie knew it was time to grub and we all headed to my favorite breakfast stop “Green Eggs”. We lost track of time with good conversation, mimosa, and red velvet pancakes. Before I knew it, we were making our way down to the pier to experience greatness.

I discovered an amazing 90’s era crop top set that screamed “ROOTS” to me and couldn’t wait to rock it for the festival. I had a moment of hesitation wondering what others would think of such a vibrant statement, but I wanted my creative soul to shine. I felt like a free spirit in my colorful number, and it kept me cool and comfy the entire time.

The festival was packed to the brim but I still managed to be a “Fashioneater” and style stalk my attendee peers. I spotted stylish cut off denim, easy day frocks, and breezy chiffon skirts. I captured a few great looks while soaking up the sun on my blanket between sets. Check out some of the great images of the artist and festival style below:
