Tall Girl Problems 101

We don’t have to do much to stand out in a crowd, see clear across the room, or reach things off the top shelve. It’s not a problem reaching in the back seat to grab your purse with out taking our eyes off the road, or reach out for our food in the drive-thru if we pulled up a bit too far from the window. But what about dressing in a world where inseams to pants are on average 30 inches, and a long sleeve shirt on a regular height female is a three quarter sleeve on a tall girl. Because of these issue so many beautiful long limbed females give up on the idea of having a fashion forward wardrobe and settle for ill fitting clothing like… SWEAT PANTS (Que dramatic music).

In my journey to embrace my height (6’1 and proud) I have found a few tricks of the trade and tools that helped me on my journey to loving this blessing. But we first must start with the foundation before we build the house. We aren;t just tall ladies! We come in all different shapes and before I can give you places to shop (so you can finally throw away those fug sweats) we have to start with the ground work. Trolling the net I found a collection of online How to: Books by Caryn Franklin via http://www.howtolookgood.com. Catering to all body types from Pear shaped to Top heavy these tips will change your world.

Thanks for the tips. I stand 6’2, so I do understand the struggle. I am also looking to help make a difference by providing a website that is geared to tall womens fashions. It has been a tough time finding fashionable clothing, but I think if enough of us speak up, the fashion industry will start to give us more options. Thanks for leading the way.
