Creators Harmony Pilobello and Shilpa Iyengar brought Alterre Shoes into reality as a celebration of strong ambitious women and the many roles they lead. These brilliant women are also committed supporters behind non-profit organization Restore NYC. Restore NYC is an organization providing long-term rehabilitation to victims of sex-trafficking in New York , which is one of the worlds largest hubs of human trafficking. 5% of Alterre Shoes profits are given to Restore in their effort to break the cycle of abuse women endure from the horrible impact of sex trafficking.
